3-in-1 Doctor Developed IBS Support
Why IBtrol Works:
-
Soluble Fiber (Psyllium Husk): Helps bulk and normalize stool consistency — key for both constipation and diarrhea. Psyllium is the only evidence-based fiber shown to improve symptoms in IBS.
Patented Prebiotic: The only prebiotic formula shown to support gut microbiome balance in IBS.
Evidence-Based Probiotic Mix: Five clinically selected strains shown to support bowel regularity, reduce pain/bloating and improve gut resilience.
Is IBtrol Right for Me?
- IBtrol is for those frustrated by recurrent IBS (IBS-C, IBS-M, IBS-D) symptoms and have tried multiple solutions without lasting relief.
- Anyone seeking a premium, scientifically formulated daily gut support solution made in the USA.
- Individuals managing a low-FODMAP diet or who are working with their GI specialist and want a high-quality complement.
- Individuals looking for premium ingredients with convenience (single formula vs multiple products).
- Those experiencing menopause related digestive issues.
How to Use & What to Expect:
Week 1: Take 1 scoop each morning with 8 oz of water. Stir briskly with a fork or frother and drink straightaway. Continue to drink water throughout the day.
After Day 7: Increase to 2 scoops daily (morning + evening) if tolerated and per your gut's rhythm. Some individuals may only need 1 serving per day to manage symptoms.
Taking a psyllium-based product: Psyllium should be taken with plenty of water. Psyllium creates a gel which we want to form in your gut as it expands.*
What you’ll notice: More consistent bowel habits, fewer flare-ups, reduced gas/bloating, improved food tolerance, improved confidence around meals and social occasions.
*Why use psyllium when it is not-so-fun to take?
Here is why we believe in "the gel" and recommend loving "the gel" if you have IBS:
The “gel” effect is what makes psyllium so effective: when psyllium absorbs water, it forms a soft gel-like matrix in your gut. That gel is what gives it its unique dual action:
- For diarrhea (IBS-D): the gel absorbs excess water in the stool, helping to firm it up and reduce frequency.
- For constipation (IBS-C): it softens the stool by holding water inside it, making it easier to pass.
Instead of forcing your gut one way or the other (like laxatives or anti-diarrheals), psyllium helps it find balance naturally — regulating consistency and speed.
"The Gel" supports gut lining and microbiome health: that viscous gel also acts like a protective coating inside the intestinal tract:
- It slows down digestion just enough to stabilize absorption and reduce irritation.
- It provides a fermentable surface for beneficial bacteria — feeding them gradually rather than all at once (which helps reduce bloating and gas).
- Over time, it contributes to improved gut barrier integrity and less sensitivity — both key for IBS.
Gel-forming fibers are the gold standard in IBS research: clinical studies consistently show that gel-forming soluble fibers (like psyllium) outperform non-gel-forming ones (like wheat bran or inulin) for IBS symptom relief. In fact, inulin can make IBS symptoms worse.
The gel texture is what makes psyllium:
- Gentle
- Predictable
- Effective for both diarrhea and constipation
That’s why major GI societies like the American College of Gastroenterology recommend soluble, gel-forming fiber as first-line therapy for IBS.

FAQ
Q: Is IBtrol safe to use while following a low-FODMAP diet?
A: Yes. IBtrol is designed to integrate easily with a low-FODMAP lifestyle — fiber + prebiotic + probiotic support and enhance low-FODMAP diets.
Q: Do I need to be on a low-FODMAP diet for IBtrol to be effective?
A. No. IBtrol is designed to manage symptoms and build food tolerance without diet restrictions.
Q: Are there any allergens?
A: Contains milk. Gluten-free. Free from artificial dyes; contains no hidden fillers. See full label for details.
Q: Why would IBtrol "Contain milk"? When dairy can be an IBS trigger?
A: IBtrol contains a trace amount of lactose (0.27 g per serving) which comes from our patented prebiotic ingredient. This prebiotic is produced using a natural enzyme from beneficial bacteria to create a special type of galactose, similar to the one found in human breast milk.
Unlike most plant-based prebiotics (which are high-FODMAP and only effective at large doses), this unique prebiotic works gently at a low dose to help nourish beneficial gut bacteria and calm the gut.
Because of how it’s made, a small amount of lactose remains — far less than what’s typically allowed on a lactose-free diet (up to 12 g per day). This level is generally well-tolerated, even by people who are lactose-intolerant.
Most importantly, this prebiotic has been clinically shown to support a balanced microbiome and improve IBS symptoms — a benefit not demonstrated by many other prebiotics.
Q: What symptoms does it target?
A: Designed to support relief of IBS-C (constipation), IBS-D (diarrhea), IBS-M (mixed), abdominal pain, bloating, gas and irregular bowel habits.
